PURPOSE:To narrow a pen retaining stand, to enlarge a picture drawing area, and to lighten and miniaturize the device, by a method wherein, in a multicolor recorder quipped with a plural number of pens, the pens arranged at short intervals are selectively pressed by means of a single solenoid. CONSTITUTION:Recording pens B1-B3 in three color are placed in parallel at distances m, and pen unoperating levers 16 and 16' are set to a slide plate D at a distance n provided by pulling out one operating lever i. The pen B2 makes contact with an armature lever P of a solenoid h, and is pressed against a paper with a solenoid being excited. A carriage C is made into a unitary body with the plate D by means of a positioning ball, and thereby picture drawing can be performed by a platen and a motor 4. If a reversing motor 4 is run by operating a brake 22, the carriage moves toward the plate D to a position where an operating lever i1 or i3 makes contact with the lever P to permit a color to be changed. |
