A device (1) is described for the automatic detection of defects on the surface (7) of a bearing (2). The most important features of the device (1) consist in that it has the following: a radiation source (3) emitting visible radiation, an optoelectric transducer device (13, 14), at least one optical fibre (5) which relays the visible radiation from the radiation source (3) to the surface (7) of the bearing (2) and relays the corresponding visible radiation reflected from this surface (7) to the optoelectrical transducer device (13, 14), a processor circuit (25) having threshold value comparators which are connected to the optoelectric transducer device (13, 14) and to a reference voltage source, and a signal circuit (26) connected to the output of the processor circuit (25). <IMAGE> |
