PURPOSE:To provide an easy alteration of the number of stacked tank units by a method wherein the bottom water falling hole in the upper tank unit is fitted into the upper water receiving hole in the lower tank unit in a multi- stage type heat insulating tank in which a solar heat is collected through a collector. CONSTITUTION:At the bottom surface of each of the tanks 11-15 is provided with a funnel-shaped water falling hole 3 and also at the upper surface of the tank unit is provided with a funnel-shaped water receiving hole 4. When the tank units 11-15 thus constructed are stacked to each other, the water falling hole 3 is fitted into the water receiving hole 4, and a central water passage pipe 5 in the tank is fitted into the receiving port 6 of the water passage pipe 5, thereby each of the tanks 11-15 may easily by integrated.
