PURPOSE:To increase the versatility read-in of an original, by converting a scanning amount or original feeding amount into an electrical amount and comparing it with a predetermined electrical amount. CONSTITUTION:A tip of a transmission original 3 is matched to a start point 2C of a set scale and variable indexes 2A, 2B are set to partial ranges 3a, 3b to be desired. A voltage in response to the variable indexes 2A, 2B is obtained and this is outputted to a comparison circuit. When the part 3a of the original 3 reaches a read-in base line 1a, a coincidence output is obtained from the comparison circuit and the read-in of the original 3 is started based on the output. When the part 3b of the original 3 reaches the line 1a, the read-in is stopped. |
