Distress rocket arrangement for wind-surf - has sailing watertight casing serving as handle for operation when installed in mast socket

The signal in its casing is intended to be installed integral with the structure of the wind surf. e.g. in one of two alternative mast sockets or any other generally cylindrical cavity. On the end of the signal a watertight cylindrical cap is provided with two sets of internal threads so that the inverted signal can be secured rigidly to the top of the casing which then serves as a base or handle. Both constituents may be constructed of metal or synthetic material. The appts. is compact and free from the drawbacks of distress rockets which are bulky, non-watertight and unsuitable for small sailing craft.
