The pump consists of a reciprocating piston in a cylinder and rotating distributor in the pump casing. The piston provides the suction and discharge power whilst the synchronised distributor directs the pumped material from the suction branch to the discharge branch. The distributor is provided with rubber or flexible plastics seals on the external surfaces. The seals are fitted in housings in the body of the distributor and are removable for maintenance or replacement.
