<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the fibrous plate-like body which is contributive to the saving of resources and to the prevention of public pollusions by a method wherein a fibrous component is separated from a waste tire by a mechanical means and binder particles of an urethane polymer are adhered to the fibrous component by a specific method so that the fibrous component can be re-used. CONSTITUTION:The waste tire is divided into the fibrous component and a rubber component after pulverizing the tire to usually 1-2mm. in particle size and after that, the fibrous component is further pulverized by a specific pulverizer so as to separate non-fibrous components included therein. Next, the urethane polymer using polyol as a binder is added to a viscous solution consisting of water added with a small quantity of a tackifier (e.g, PVA) and the solution is agitated rapidly to thereby obtain a suspension. Further, the above mentioned fibrous component of the waste tire is put into, and well mixed with, the suspension and the resultant mixture is added with water so that the binder particles are adhered onto the fibrous component in the mixture which when dehydrated and dried to make the captioned plate-like body.</p> |
