PURPOSE:To permit high speed printing and to make strength of the printed color uniform by a device wherein an information whether respective heating elements are heated or not in the previous line is stored and then the starting time of feeding, fed voltage or so for the present line is controlled corresponding to the stored information. CONSTITUTION:When a printing head 2 including a number of fed heating elements 3 is advanced with intervals of a pitch P corresponding to one line to perform printing, printing data for one line to be printed at the present time is set in a first shift register 11 and printing data for the previous one line is set in a second shift register 12. Parallel output signals from the second shift register 12 are inverted by a plurality of NOT circuits 15 and then outputs from the NOT circuits 105 are input to AND circuits 13 corresponding to parallel outputs from the first shift register 11, respectively. Each AND circuit 13 is connected to the corresponding heating element via a driver circuit 14. By so doing, a printing cycle for each line comprises a heating cycle and a data set cycle and a cooling cycle is dispensed with, thereby the printing cycle is shortened by that amount. |
