<p>A heat insulation panel comprises an insulating plate of rigid, cellular plastics on at least one surface of which a plaster plate is bonded. The novel feature is that a layer of alkalimetal silicate is located on at least one of the surfaces facing the insulating plate and the plaster. The silicate is pref. K or Na silicate in which the SiO2: K2O and SiO2: Na2O ratios are resp. 0.6-3(1.5-2.5) and 1-4(2-4). The panel is used for linning walls, roofs and floors in buildings. The silicate layer imparts flame resistance to the cellular plastics and enables the panel to be used in various types of buildings. The panels satisfy the 150834 flame resistance tests.</p> |
