PURPOSE:To obtain a small-size copying machine for many copies of a low power consumption, by heating a thermal recording head by a pattern corresponding to the electric picture signal from an image sensor and by bringing a thermosensitive paper web into contact with the head closely by pressure to form the pattern from the sensor onto the thermosensitive paper web. CONSTITUTION:A platen 11 where an originial is set is reciprocated by a platen driving step motor 13, and the original on the platen 11 is read for every one line to generate a picture electric signal from an image sensor 22. By a pattern corresponding to the signal from this sensor 22, the heating unit of a thermal recording head 31 on a back roller 32 provided in the copying machine emits heat. A thermosensitive paper web 33 from a thermosensitive paper web supply roll 34 is fed smoothly between the roller 32 and the head 31, and the web 33 is brought into contact with the head 31 closely by pressure by the roller 32 to form the pattern from the sensor 22 onto the web 33, and the recorded web 33 is cut by an auto-cutter 41 and is ejected to an eject tray 40. |
