PURPOSE:To achieve invariably excellent fixation by providing a detecting means of detecting ambient humidity and a control means of controlling high- frequency energy according to the humidity detected by the detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A casing 9 covers a waveguide 8 except a slit opening 10 through which a picture base material is inserted and discharged and an exhaust opening 11 where an exhaust fan 18 is provided, and in the casing 9, an ambient- humidity detecting means 12 is provided. According to humidity detected by the ambient-humidity detecting means 12, an output control circuit 13 controls a driving circuit 14 for a magnetron 1 to increase the output high-frequency energy of the magnetron 1 according to a rise in the humidity in the fixing device. Thus, when the humidity is high, high-frequency waves are absorbed by moisture in the atmosphere, so the high-frequency energy for fixation is increased accordingly to obtain the invariably stable capability of fixation. |
