PURPOSE:To considerably reduce the amount of water and to obtain a stable image by using an aqueous soln. prepared by adding >=1 kind of compound selected from aldehydes and aldehyde hydrogensulfites together with a specified benzisothiazoline compound and a specified diphosphonic acid as a soln. for washing after fixing. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous soln. prepared by adding >=1 kind of compound represented by formulae III-V together with compounds represented by formulaeI, II is used as a soln. for washing after fixing. In formulaeI-V, R1 is H, halogen, (substituted) alkyl, (substituted) aryl, R12-O-R13, -CONHR14 or the like, each of R2-R5 is H, halogen, OH, alkyl, NH2 or NO2, R12 is alkylene, each of R13 and R14 is H or alkyl, R6 is H, OH or NH2, R7 is H or 1-5C alkyl, each of R8-R11 is H, COOH or OH, R15 is H, 1-5C (substituted) alkyl, formyl, acetyl or acetonyl, each of R16-R19 is H or 1-5C (substituted) alkyl, M is an alkali metal, and (n) is 0-4. Thus, no suspended matter is formed in the aqueous soln., the amount of water for washing is reduced considerably, and a stalbe image is obtd. |
