PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a high-precision rotary polygon mirror by controlling light emitted from a light emitting means electrically and also increasing the angle of deflection of this scanning light by using an electrically controllable optical deflecting means. CONSTITUTION:Light emitted from a light source 6 incidents to an optical deflection element 7. Said element 7 is applied with an optical deflection voltage 8 to perform optical deflection according to said voltage. The optical beam deflected by said element 7 is increased in angle of deflection by a optically deflecting and magnifying lens 9 to increase the angle tens of times. Namely, when the angle of deflection obtained by the said element 7 is two degrees, a 30-40 deg. of maximum scanning angle is obtained easily. Thus, the need for a high-precision rotary polygon mirror is eliminated. |
