<p>PURPOSE:To confirm the inventory of articles by measuring the distances between end faces of articles which are stored in a closed contact condition using a first reference point as a start point, and a second reference point. CONSTITUTION:When a desired inventory confirmation address is inputted, an inventory managing machine 72 delivers an instruction for moving a stacker crane D on the introduction side to a ground control panel 71. When introduction device 32 on the stacker crane D on the introduction side comes to and stops at a predetermined frontage of a storage rack A, a distance measuring device 6 laid on the introduction device 32 delivers a voltage corresponding to the distance to an article F to the inventory managing machine 72. Accordingly, the distance measuring device 6 delivers voltages corresponding to the distances between the positions of the end faces of articles F stored in a closed contact condition using a first reference point, as a starting point, which is of a downstream end stopper 1a on the storage rack A, and the position of the distance measuring device 6 as a second reference point, in accordance with the positions of the end faces of the articles F. Therefore, it is possible to measure the distances from these output voltages.</p> |
