The loading equipment for a firearm is mounted inside an armoured vehicle, and comprises a rotary magazine serving the variable-angle gun etc., and from which the individual rounds are transferred to the latter. The magazine is a rotary plate (12), supporting the rounds (M) upright approximately parallel to its axis of rotation. This axis intersects at right angles one or more of the aiming axes of the gun (AV), whose lengthwise axis passes through the plate centre. Some parts (25,33,35) of the mechanism are coupled to the gun itself, so as to load it in whatever direction it is pointing.
