<p>PURPOSE:To avoid idle time and to improve printing speed in the case a plurality of digits are consecutively printed in a short time, by starting the heating driving of a printing head before the printing head stops at the position of the next digit. CONSTITUTION:The movement of the printing head 1 to the next digit is performed by a pulse motor 2. A control circuit 6 generates a timing signal S19 at a specified time before a printing head 1 stops. Since a printing command signal PR is generated at said generating time, the heating driving of the printing head 1 is started before the printing head 1 stops at the next digit position. Since time delay is accompanied by the increase in the temperature of the printing head 1, said time delay is utilized so that the heating state reaches the temperature required for printing when the printing head stops at the next digit position. In the conventional method, the heating driving is performed after the printing head has completely stopped, and the delay of the increase in the head temperature is made as an idle time. This idle time is removed.</p> |
