A correction circuit of a half tone dot area ratio detector is described, in which the relationship between a determined half tone dot area ratio and the light permittivity or reflectivity of an object which is obtained by half tone photography is approximately expressed by a curve including a line segment and changing its direction having at least one point of deflection, a point of deflection correction circuit having an inverting amplifier circuit being provided and a further inverting amplifier circuit (Q5, R51, R52) of the point of deflection correction circuit is connected in parallel and a potentiometer (R6) couples the outputs of the two circuits and produces a signal corresponding to a correction value. <IMAGE>
