PURPOSE:To upgrade the operating capacity for transient time either during normal operation or accelerating operation by detecting the generating conditions of knocking for an internal combustion engine from vibration or other factors generated inside and outside a cylinder and by increasing and decreasing the volume of delay angle for ignition timing per knocking. CONSTITUTION:When a knocking pulse is output from a monostable multi vibrator 327, a counter 331 counts only one. At the same time a timer 332 starts counting. When the next knocking is generated before a specified time passes since the generation of the previous knocking, the number of knocking counts is increased on a one by one basis. The output voltage of a D/A converter 333 is converted into an electric current in proportion to the voltage by a voltage- current converter 334. On the other hand, when a pulse is output from the monostable multi-vibrator 327, a switch 341 is turned on as long as the pulse rises. In the mean time, the current in proportion to the number of counts flows into a capacitor 342 from the converter 334, thereby increasing the voltage. When the voltage is picked up through a buffer 344, a signal equivalent to the volume of delay angle for a basic ignition timing is obtained. |
