<p>The invention relates to retractable anti-slip devices intended for shoe soles and for the tread of tyres. According to the invention, a small square or rectangular metal plate 1 has, at one end, a line of claws 2 and, in the extension of the other end, two lateral projections 3 forming pivoting shafts which are housed in bearings of rectangular section substantially equal to that of the projections. The stability of positioning of the small plate in one of its two positions, opposed at 180 DEG , is provided by the pressure applied by the material of the sole or of the tyre on the pivoting shafts of the small plate.
