The adjusting mechanism has a set screw, spherically and sealingly mounted on a stationary housing and enabling screwing down into an inner thread of the lamp reflector. The bearing is in the form of a ball joint whose bearing shell is of elastic material, surrounding the bearing stud in a sealing manner. The mechanism housing preferably is of olastics, the bearing shell and the housing forming an integral module. If the housing is of metal the bearing shell is of elastic plastics inserted into the housing. the bearing shell may be thrust into the housing as a bayonet joint. Clipping connection may be also used for the bearing shell fastening in the housing. An O-ring may be used for sealing the bearing stud against the shell. This sealing may be provided by a sealing lid on the shell.
