PURPOSE:To prevent the increase in the temperature of a recording head and to prevent the degradation of picture quality when the temperature of the heat sensitive recording head is increased, by intermittently thinning the picture element recording on each line, and shifting the position of the picture elements to be thinned on the adjacent lines. CONSTITUTION:A current in a pulse shape is conducted through a plurality of resistors R1, R2, R3, and the like for picture element sections based on a picture signal. Coloring recording is performed on recording paper by the b heat of resistors for the picture element sections. In this heat sensitivity recording, a thirmistor 8, an amplifier 9, a thinning control circuit 10 and the like are provided. The temperature of the recording head recorded by the thirmistor 8 is imparted to the control circuit 10 through an amplifier 9. When the temperature is rising, the recording energizing of the cold number picture elements is inhibited, e.g., on one line, and the recording energizing of the even number picture elements on the adjacent lines is inhibited. In this method, the excessive increase in the temperature of the recording head is prevented and the phenomenon, wherein white streaks are generated on the picture and distinction is degraded, is avoided. |
