The control valve has an oblong slide working in a housing bore so as to control unions, and positioned by an actuating plunger operated by fluid pressure and centred by springs. Inside the actuating plunger (16) is a control plunger (31,32) slid by control pressure against spring action (33,34), and controlling a connection (63-66) for a working pressure moving the slide (12) from its middle position into a second one. The spring acting on the control plunger can be supported by a sliding abutment (35,36), whose position is dependent on that of e slide (12).
