<p>The equipment for controlled cooling of strip material has a spray assembly (10) to spray both strip sides with a mist which vapourises on touching it. There is also a deflector (13) to direct on each strip side a tangential jet of cold air and a tunnel (14) in which this air circulates against strip movement. The spray assembly is in a housing (9) inside a case (11) to direct water vapour. The case (11) is in two parts, the upper has a valve (12) to regulate the amount of water vapour and the lower has a drain for the condensate.</p> |
