Device for recording video signals (Sd, Sa) on a tape (3), this device having an electronic camera (10) with an opto-electronic image converter (11, 12) for storing video signals which reproduce an optical image. The camera (10) also has a scanning device (12) for scanning the image converter (11), in order to scan the video signals (Sd) in dependence on a synchronisation signal (Ps). The device also comprises a recording device (20) for recording the video signals (Sa) of the electronic camera (10) on the tape (3). This tape (3) is transported at a speed (n . V0) which corresponds to the frequency of the synchronisation signal (P). For the reproduction with slow motion and/or with fast motion in the image, the frequency (n . f0) of the synchronisation signal (P) is correspondingly changed. <IMAGE>
