A small hand-held dictation tape recorder includes a digital clock facility with an alarm setting. The unit has a rectangular housing with the clock (2), loudspeaker and microphone set in the top section. The main cover (13) slides over the section retaining the miniature tape cassette and batteries. Magnetic record and erase heads are set into the housing. Operat1ng and setting buttons are located on the side of the top section.
