<p>Organic solvents miscible with water and containing from 2 to 50% of water can be dried by passage through a molecular sieve capable of retaining water after it has been dehydrated, at a superficial velocity of less than 15 cm/min and using a column having a specfied ratio of column length to the length of the mass transfer zone. Solvents specified are isopropanol, ethanol, industrial methylated spirit, methylisobutylketone, acetone, tetrahydrofuran, and pyridine.</p> |
