PURPOSE:To achieve accurate measurement of flow rate in a tank by measuring the weight of the tank with a load cell with a fluid introduced into the tank from a passage. CONSTITUTION:A 3-point supporting load cell 4 is arranged on the bottom of a tank 1 receiving a fluid from a outflow passage 3 and the output is amplified with an amplifier 5 to measure the weight of the tank 1 itself by an calculator 6 as reference. When the fluid flows into the tank 1 from the passage 3, a dynamic load from the falling of the fluid works on the load cell 4. The true weight W of the fluid afflowed for the dynamic load is as given by the formula. Thus, the flow rate Q can be obtained by measuring the true weight with the load cell 4 from the formula. |
