PURPOSE:To improve resistance to the leakage of liquid and heighten capacity, by making the thickness of the rising part of the wall of an anode can for a compact enclosed battery smaller than that of the bottom of the can. CONSTITUTION:An anode pellet 5, a separator 8, an electrolyte 7, etc. are housed in an anode can 1'. The opening of the anode can 1' is then sealed up with a cathode can 4 and a gasket 9 interposed between both the cans. A compact enclosed battery of button type or the like is thus manufactured.
