PURPOSE:To enlarge a curve factor, and to improve the efficiency of conversion by using Cd2GeO4 as an electrode at the incident light side to a semiconductor thin-film in amorphous silicon, etc. CONSTITUTION:The thin-film solar cell has structure of which light is projected from the back of a substrate or structure of which light is projected from the side reverse to the substrate. In the former, a transparent electrode, the semiconductor thin-film in amorphous silicon, etc. having a P-N or P-I-N junction and a metallic electrode are formed successively onto the transparent substrate in glass, etc. In the latter, the semiconductor thin-film and transparent conductive films are shaped onto the substrate in metal, etc. Cd2GeO4 obtained by heating and cooling CdO and GeO2 is used as these transparent conductive films. Accordingly, the curve factor increases by 64% as compared to the 54% of a conventional curve B in a curve A of a characteristic of currents J to voltage V at the time of the irradiation of light, and the efficiency of conversion is improved by ten %. |
