PURPOSE:To prepare an ink for ink jet printing, suitable for pressure-pulse printing, etc., by dissolving a dye and other additives in a solvent, and subjecting the solution to centrifugal separation, thereby reducing the clogging of a filter during filtration. CONSTITUTION:A solution containing pref. 8-40wt% dye is prepared by adding a solubilizing agent (e.g. substituted pyrrolidone), a pH regulator (EDTA), etc. to a mixture of a dye, purified water, and a wetting agent (e.g. ethylene glycol). The solution is subjected to centrifugal separation at e.g. 5-25 deg.C and a centrifugal acceleration of 20,000-30,000g for 10-20min, and the centrifuged liquid is mixed with purified water and stirred to obtain the ink for ink jet printing. |
