<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently separate oxygen from a gaseous mixture contg. oxygen and nitrogen by separating oxygen by a pressure changing method including an evacuating operation, a specified pressure raising and adsorbing operation, a pressure dropping and concentrating operation, and a specified residual gas shifting operation. CONSTITUTION:Adsorption towers A, B, C packed with an adsorbent adsorbing nitrogen in preference to oxygen are connected in series so as to form a continuous path. After evacuating the towers A, B, C, the towers and an on-off valve 1 alone are opened, and all of other on-off valves are closed. Dry air is introduced into the tower A from the inlet (a), and by closing the valve 1 and opening an on-off valve 4, the dry air is introduced into the tower B through a duct until a prescribed pressure is obtd. The valve 4 is then closed, and by opening an on-off valve 2, dry air is introduced. By closing the valve 2 and opening an on-off valve 5, the dry air is introduced into the tower C through a duct until a prescribed pressure is obtd., and by closing the valve 5 and opening an on-off valve 3, dry air is introduced. The valve 3 is then closed, and an on-off valve 6 is opened to drop the pressure. Thus, a concd. gas with a prescribed concn. is recorvered from (d).</p> |
