A transformer or reactor has at least one band winding 11, 12, constructed from several layers of a band wound one on the other, consisting of an aluminium foil 15 and an insulation 16 in the form of a polymer film 17 or other filmlike organic insulating material with higher dielectric resistance than the voltage stress during operation between adjacent layers of the aluminium foil in the winding. The aluminium foil is provided on both sides with an oxide layer 20, 21 formed on the foil, which prevents contaminating metal particles from causing short circuit between layers of the aluminium foil. <IMAGE> |
