The invention relates to a drive equipment comprising a power source, an electric generator connected thereto, and an electric motor connected to the generator, the motor being provided with torque controlling members. The generator is arranged to operate at substantially constant voltage and speed, and the equipment comprises limiting members for sensing whether the power taken from the generator exceeds the power from the power source which is available at the moment and, if that is the case, for influencing the torque controlling members for limiting the motor power. |
