PURPOSE:To improve volume efficiency by producing a positive electrode can with the first metal plasticity and the second metal having greater mechanical strength than the first metal and producing the bottom and the side wall with two layers of the first and the second metal and the edge part with the first metal, alone. CONSTITUTION:Positive electrode tablets 51, a separator 41 and negative electrode tablets 61 are placed in a positive electrode can 21, and air tightly sealed with a negative electrode can 11 interposing a gasket 31, whereby a button typed battery is formed. The positive electrode can 21 is made of the first metal 21e, 21f having plasticity, such as nickel and the second metal 81 having greater mechanical strength than the first metal, such as stainless 15-7PH with aging hardness. The bottom 21b and the side wall 21d of the can 21 are made of laminated layers of the first metal 21e, 21f and the second metal 81. The edge 21a of the can 21 is made of a single layer of the first metal. Bending and contracting process in case of sealing is effected at the edge part 21a. |
