PURPOSE:To manufacture a porous and spherical coated carrier having large surface area and superior fluidity by leaching particles from the surface layer of a carrier. CONSTITUTION:In a solvent dissolving a carrier coating resin, a leaching substance insoluble in the solvent and having about 0.1-5mum size is dispersed, and the dispersion is applied to the surfaces of carrier cores by spray drying or other method to form surface layers. The coated carrier is dipped in a solvent dissolving only the leaching substance to dissolve the substance. Thus, porous surface layers are formed. NaCl, MgCl2, CaCl2, CaCO3, Na2CO3, MgCO3 or the like is used as the leaching substance, and the leaching solvent is water, alcohol, hydrocarbon or the like. |
