PURPOSE:To simplify a structure of a rotor of a rotary electric machine and also make it lighter so that cooling is uniformly available over the whole length of the core by a method wherein arms supporting the rotor core are arranged so that respective arms constitute a pair between adjacent arms, and also the length between arms is getting smaller with larger distance from a spider. CONSTITUTION:A rotor core 4 is situated on an arm 10 installed with extended in the axial direction against a spider 2, and at this moment the arms constitute a pair between adjacent arms, 10a, 10b, and 10c, 10d. A fixed width W1 is maintained in the circumferential direction at a spider fitting place, and this width is getting smaller gradually and at the tip it becomes a small width W2. With this structure, cooling air can be easily introduced into a ventilating duct of the rotor core, so cooling is made almost uniformly over the whole length of the core. |
