PURPOSE:To prevent the obstruction of radiant rays and to simplyfy the apparatus, by arranging an electrode plate composed of a solid having a large outer photoelectric effect opposite to an electron capture electrode at the inside and discharging a free electron by irradiating a light from a light source of ultraviolet rays to the electrode plate through an incidence window. CONSTITUTION:A detector is constituted by a light electrolytic dissociation room 1 generating and discharging a free electron, a light source lamp 7 optical axis discharging a photoelectron by absorbing a light and having a good discharge efficiency, for example, a Cs electrode 2 radiating a continuous spectrum in the range of 4,000-1,500Angstrom wavelength and a direct current power source 8 applying electric potential of negative several tens volt. By said constitution, when a radiant light L of a lamp 6 is irradiated to the electrode 2, the energy of incident light is absorbed by the electron in the electrode and the electron is discharged from the surface and then, is absorbed by a capture electrode 19. Thus, a problem of obstruction by radiant rays or counter measure for prevention of overheating are eliminated and the apparatus is simplified because a radioactive substance is not used for the detector in present invention. |
