A moulding machine of that type where the moulding sand in the upper and lower receptacles (17, 8) is pressed together by pressing plates (24, 5), after the packing together of the moulding sand via air pressure, which is blown into the upper receptacle and the lower receptacle. A stopper unit (35) is deployed to prevent the air pressure and the moulding sand streaming back into the sand container (27) by the application of air pressure to an appointed mould receptacle. The stopper unit involves a movable slide plate (35) which is deployed between a primary moulding sand outlet (31) in the sand container (27), and a moulding sand inlet (21) for the upper receptacle (17), as well as a second moulding sand outlet (30) on the sand container and the moulding sand inlet (11) for the lower receptacle (8). The slide plate (35) has connection openings (38) in order to selectively produce connections between mutual sand outlets and sand inlets. Alternatively, movable vents (132, 134; fig. 3) can be used as stopper units instead of the slide plates (35) for the opening and closing of the moulding sand outlets (30, 31) on the sand container (27).<IMAGE> |
