PURPOSE:To obtain a modified polypropylene freed from foaming during molding and having good adhesion to polar substances, by blending a specified modified polypropylene with an atactic propylene/ethylene block copolymer and heat-treating the blend. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of polypropylene, an unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative and an organic peroxide is melt-blended. 90-50pts.wt. resulting modified polypropylene is blended with 10-50pts.wt. atactic propylene/ ethylene block copolymer, and the resulting blend is heat-treated at a temperature >=60 deg.C, pref., >=100 deg.C. As the unsaturated carboxylic acid which can be used, maleic anhydride is most suitable. The heating time for heat-treatment is generally about 10min-10hr, and this heat-treatment is carried out so that the blend is devolatilized by heating to an unreacted monomer content <=0.05mol%. |
