PURPOSE:To improve the impact resistance by a synergistic action of additives, by adding a combination of a small amount of trialkyl phosphite and a polyethylene wax to a glass fiber-reinforced aromatic polycarbonate resin composition. CONSTITUTION:A glass fiber-reinforced aromatic polycarbonate resin composition is prepared by mixing 35-97wt% aromatic polycarbonate resin with 65- 3wt% glass fiber. Next, the glass fiber-reinforced resin composition is prepared by mixing 100pts.wt. above resin composition with 0.01-0.5pt.wt. trialkyl phosphite containing 2-30C aliphatic alkyls, e.g., trioctyl phosphite, and 0.1-3pts.wt. polyethylene wax, about 1,500-10,000 MW. Because of a synergistic action between the trialkyl phosphite and the polyethylene wax, the resulting resin composition can provide moldings having excellent impact resistance. |
