<p>The mechanism can be applied to boxes with parallel or inclined facing sides with an intervening spacing cushion bridle (10). The need for assembly and tightening of at least four through-bolts and nuts is eliminated. A single bolt (11) with a head (12) inside one box passes through the partition walls (5,6) and the bridle (10). The end of this shaft has a slot (14) cut in it which accepts a cross pin (19) set in a hollowed tapered parallelepiped block (15). One end of the block is rounded (18). The side walls are forced together by a rotation of the block about its cross-pin, with the curved ends bearing on the wall plate. The shaft (11) and head washer (13) are of an insulating deformable material to allow build up of tension and to compensate for inclination of the walls.</p> |
