Basket consists of elongate elements connected by transverse members which have openings through or into which the elements extend. Each element is pref. a ring or there is a single element forming turns passing through the openings with an interference fit. The arrangement allows elements and members of different colours to be used so that each basket is easily recognisable. A sheet of transparent or translucent plastics may be attached over the basket to form a cloche and the element(s) may be hollow and have a row of small apertures so that water can be sprayed internally of the cloche. The basket is e.g. of high-density polyethylene.
