NEW MATERIAL:The N-substituted trialkxoybenzylpiperazine derivative of formulaI(R is CH3 or C2H5; Z is cinnamyl). EXAMPLE:N-Cinnamyl-N'-2,3,4-trimethoxybenzylpiperazine. USE:Remedy for iscemic cardiopathy. It has various pharmacological activities to coronary circulatory system, e.g. cardiac motion suppressing action, coronary vessel dilating action, etc. PROCESS:The compound of formulaIcan be prepared in high yield, by reacting N-trialkoxybenzylpiperazine of formula II with a cinnamyl halide in an inert solvent, if necessary in the presence of a proper acid acceptor, at room temp. -100 deg.C for 0.5-6hr. |
