摘要 Method for industrial mfr. of a fuel cell electrode having a finely perforated or porous support structure of good conductivity metal is described in which the metal is copper and the pores are large enough to receive by chemical deposition at least one sealing layer of Ni of uniform thickness 10-20 microns. The fuel cells are used in electric traction vehicles. The copper provides the necessary high conductivity to the Ni, while the Ni coating is sound enough to withstand the rigorous conditions of use without exfoliating due to oxygen bubble formation.
