PURPOSE:To obtain an FRP leaf spring substantially uniform in distribution of reinforcing fibers and thickness and retaining its strength by a method wherein a pin is forced into an FRP blank material before the material is hardened, the pin is drawn out, then the pin is again inserted into a hole formed in the material and is drawn out after the material is hardened. CONSTITUTION:When the pin 2 is forced into the FRP blank material 1 and is once drawn out from the hole 3 before the material 1 is hardened, a peripheral wall part 4 having been moved in the direction of the tip of the pin 2 at the time of forcing-in is moved in the direction opposite to the moving direction at the time of forcing-in and it either returns substantially to the initial position or stops at a position slightly deviated backward from the initial position. Then, the pin 2 is again inserted into the hole 3, thereby returning the peripheral wall part 4 substantially to the initial position. After hardening the material 1 in this condition, the pin 2 is drawn out to obtain the objective article. A similar method can be applied also in the case where the hole 3 is not a through-hole. |
