Particle boards, e.g. wood particle- or chipboards, for building purposes, which have been reinforced by means of glass fibre filaments or threads placed in the boards. The threads are laid to obtain increased rupture strength and increased resistance to punch-through of concentrated loads, and are fixed at given spacing in conjunction with the board manufacturing process. The method of reinforcing the boards during manufacture is also included by the invention. |
