PURPOSE:To reduce errors due to the variation in rotating speed at starting by measuring the time integrated value of the square of the rotating angle speed from the start of the rotation of a rotor. CONSTITUTION:A specimen cell 2 is attached to the rotor 3. The rotor is connected to a driving shaft of a driving mechanism 4 and rotated. A position mark 19 having different reflectivity is provided on a base part 18 of the rotor 3. A pulse signal 21 is generated in response to the rotation of the rotor 3 from a photo detector 20 located in the vicinity of the base 18. Said pulse signal 21 is imputted to a period measuring part 22 in the data analyzing device 28. The squared value of the rotating angle speed omega is computed in a computing part 23, addition is repeated in accumulation memory part 24, and the time integration value of the square of omega from the start of the rotation of the rotor 3 is stored. The concentration distribution which is obtained by scanning measurement performed by a photoelectric scanning mechanism 11 is stored in a concentration distribution memory part 26. The distribution of sedimentation coefficient is computed in the computing part 23 together with said time integration value and displayed by a plotter 27. |
