Powdered mixts. contg. chalk, at least one halogenated diphenyl deriv. and 0-50 wt.%, w.r.t. mixt. wt., of Sb2O3, are used as flame-retardants in heat- and/or ionising radiation-hardenable polyorganosiloxane compsns. or in heat- and/or ionising radiation-hardened polyorganosiloxane rubber-elastic prods. The prods. can be used in flame-resistant building components. Sb2O3 addn. synergetically increases chalk and halogenated diphenyl deriv. component flame-retardant activity. Silicone rubber end-prod. workability, mechanical properties and resistance to environmental conditions are unimpaired. The prods. can be bonded to substrates with room temp. moisture-crosslinkable polyorganosiloxane compsns.
