The engine utilising expansive energy of compressed gas - partic. gas containing residual particles, partic. solids, after expansion - has a casing (2) housing an impeller (1) free to rotate and apply torque to a driven shaft. One or more blades (12) form a mobile, pressure-responsive boundary to an expansion chamber (4) inside the casing. Joins with the fixed boundaries are sealed. The chamber boundary facing the blade is formed by a slider (5) synchronised with it, which can be introduced from outside the blade track. The chamber has an opening (24) there, where the particles are accumulated after the expansion stroke.
