The slide shoe for the piston of a hydrostatic radial piston machine is hinged to its respective piston. In its sliding surface is a closed recess supplied with the working medium under pressure and enclosed by a sealing rib, round which is a groove with open ends at right angles to the direction of movement. Hydro-dynamic supporting faces are formed in the end portion in the travel direction of the sliding surface. The portion of the sealing rib enclosing the recess (10) in the direction of movement runs straight and at right angles to the latter. The rib is very narrow in relation to the extension of the hydrodynamic supporting face in the direction of movement (14), and also to the area of the recess.PS.
